Women's Health & Wellness

The human body, mind, and spirit comprise our women's health and wellness. To improve our wellbeing, we need to address four key components: Nutrition, Disease Prevention, Physical and Emotional Care. Therefore; wellness advice to help stay active, relieve stress, and find inner peace.

Women's Health and Wellness Program aims to explore the various opportunities for awareness and advance each of these vital areas.

Community Service Projects

Planning a great community service project does not have to be a ton of work. There are plenty of ways you can improve your community with groups big and small.

Volunteering is a great way to give back. This’s Deaf Women of Oklahoma requirement, least find one or two any community service project to volunteer. It can be part-time or full-time service. You can investment money for giving, support, donors, education, or women events.

Volunteering as a family is an excellent way to spend time together, benefit the community however; teach member's children too about the importance of giving to others and lending a hand. Volunteering is a rewarding experience that brings people of all ages together for a good cause.

Black Deaf Women Society Program

Black Deaf Women Empowering Program is given to making a positive impact on society by empowering black deaf or hard of hearing women and girls. Black Deaf Women Society Program connects women of various backgrounds through programs and events focused on improving our deaf communities and encouraging personal and professional growth. Another goal is to give women or young women the positive tools to navigate the pressures and expectations they encounter in today’s society.

However, this program allows black deaf high school girl become a president for this Black Deaf Women Society Program. I be Deaf Black Girl serves as a collective for black deaf or hard of hearing women, femmes, and girls to actualize their full potential to authentically be, through autonomy, abundance, and liberation. We know that we are the energy and essence and deserve a world where black deaf or hard of hearing, femmes and girls live in wholeness.

The curriculum-based program is structured around Five (5) Themes: Leadership, Healthy Living, Black History Month, Social Skills, and Lifestyle.

Deaf Women Hispanic & Latino Program

To promote the development of educational curriculum and programming focused on Latino or Hispanic Heritage.

Latino or Hispanic Program Goals:

General Meetings & Monthly Luncheons where we induct boards, new or renewal members, discuss upcoming meeting, events, and have a wide variety of keynote deaf speakers on very diverse topics.

Fundraising


Activity of Deaf Women of Oklahoma

Annual, a great way to bring your boards, members, guest, member family together, also providing them with a fun experience activity. Building is a powerful tool for non-profit growth with us. More effort, fun including annual luncheons.


Birthday Member Project, Breakfast Program, Dinner Program, Guest/Visitor Deaf Speakers, History Month, Luncheon Program, Girl Trips/Family Trips, Theme, Community Dance, Wellness/Yoga, and many more!


ASL Women Empowerment Performance

ASL Women Empowerment Luncheon, Events or Night. (Concept: songs, poetry, story, history month, drawing, arts, or coloring book pages however; college student are welcoming).
